Here is some additional information and our standard rates.  We do have a minimum charge of $40, however if you have a small project, please ask I will see what I can do for you.

We do repair tapes! Most tapes can be repaired if broken. Charge is dependant upon what is wrong with the tape. Can range between $5 and $15 as well as FREE.

$10 flat rate for most transfers regardless of quantity. If a company can promise to do it under $10, I would highly question their hardware and processes.

VHS, VHS-C, BetaMax & Video8/8mm/Hi8

  • $10 per tape up to 2 hours.  $8 under 20 minutes.  Prorated after 2 hours.
  • Videos are captured in Lossless format.
  • Videos are processed to address mechanical noise and optimize quality

MiniDV & Digital8

  • $10 per tape up to 2 hours.  $8 under 20 minutes.
  • Videos are transferred in DV format.
  • It is recommended to save this file with no additional processing
    • The resulting file is an exact copy of what is on the tape
  • We still recommend converting to smaller, portable file at no additional charge

Super8 & 8mm Film (Motion)

  • $10 For every 50 Feet. 3″ Reel is 50 Feet
  • Scanned in HD Resolution
  • Cannot process sound.  Most films are silent anyway

Audio Cassette, Mini & Micro Cassette, Vinyl

  • Standard $10 Each
  • Shorter recording may be cheaper
  • File format is CD quality FLAC and MP3
  • Can burned to a CD, Flash Drive, or other storage medium

Film – 35mm

  • $0.45 per Image
  • Dust Removal, Color Correction, Sharpening
  • Uncompressed Tiffs and Compressed Jpgs Included
  • Free Standard Slideshow
  • Please ask about other formats

35MM Slides

  • $0.45 per Slide
  • Dust Removal, Color Correction, Sharpening
  • Uncompressed Tiffs and Compressed Jpgs Included
  • Free Standard Slideshow
  • Special Handing (carousels) may be extra

Photo Scanning

  • $0.45 per Photo
  • Uncompressed Tiffs and Compressed Jpgs Included
  • Free Standard Slideshow
  • Special Handling (Photo Albums) may be extra

DVDs/MiniDVDs

  • $6-10 in most cases
  • DVDs are ripped with no loss of quality
  • Can be put on a Flash Drive or other storage medium

CDs

  • $1.15 apiece
  • Files are ripped to CD quality FLAC
  • 256 KB/s MP3s at no additional charge
  • Filenames, Metadata, and Album Art included and Standardized

USB Drives for Video Transfer, Slides and Film

  • I sell USB drives for not much more the cost and time to transfer files
  • Files are generally 7GB per hour, 8 hours per 64GB drive for a reference
  • Prices would vary depending on the quote of the project and # of items

DVDs for Video Transfer

  • $4 up to 1 Hour of Video (Single Layer DVD)
  • $5 up to 2 Hours of Video (Dual Layer DVD)
  • USB is Recommend as DVD will lessen the quality of the Video
